Challenge: The Australian Department of Health’s Design Lab was tasked with investigating the shortage of General Practitioners (GPs) in Australia. The goal was to produce a comprehensive report that informed policy decisions and identified potential solutions.
Solution: As part of the multidisciplinary team, I contributed to the research efforts by conducting interviews with doctors and healthcare facilities across Australia. I gathered insights into their unique challenges and experiences related to GP shortages. In addition to my research responsibilities, I was responsible for designing and producing a printed and digital report that effectively communicated the research findings. As well as designed infographics that simplified complex medical concepts and made them Comprehensible to non-medical audiences.
Outcome: The project successfully produced a comprehensive report that provided valuable insights into the challenges facing the Australian GP system. The infographics played a crucial role in making the research findings accessible and understandable to policymakers and the broader Division. The experience reinforced my passion for using design to communicate complex information and drive positive change.
